Jack Bridges Jr.

Jack started going to rodeos in 1947, at the age of 13. He participated in Amateur, Open, SRA, RCA, NIRA, PRCA, and Sr. Pro Rodeos. Jack entered the following events: Bareback Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding, Bull Riding, Bull Dogging, Ribbon Roping, Calf Roping, Cow Milking, Double Mugging, Team Tying, and Team Roping. He is still active as a header in Team Roping, at the age of 66. Throughout the years, he won over 30 saddles, 50 buckles, 12 jackets, and 2 trailers.

Titles & Awards:

  • 1997-2000: Won National Sr. Pro Rodeos in Waco, Tyler, Rosenberg, Cleburne, and Madisonville, TX; Lamar and Silt.
  • 1997-2000: Placed at National Sr. Pro Rodeos in Cheyenne and Douglas, WY, and Rope America, Guthrie, OK.
  • 1999: Rope America Champion in Glen Rose, TX, and Guthrie, OK.
  • 1992: Texas Regional Champion, USTRC in Fort Worth, TX.
  • 1992: Prairie States Champion, USTRC in Guthrie, OK.
  • 1992: Open and 90-Year-Old Champion in Guthrie, OK.
  • 1992: Walt Garrison, Over 40 Champion in Benbrook, TX.
  • 1989: Biggest East of the Mississippi Champion, 80 & 100-Year-Old Ropings in Muscle Shoals, AL.
  • 1989: 4 Time, 110-Year-Old Champion in Tubac, AZ.
  • 1989: Pot of Gold, 2 Time Shoot Out Champion and 110-Year-Old Champion in Phoenix, AZ.
  • 1975-Present: Team Roping at various levels in Texas, Arizona, Alabama, Colorado, and Wyoming.
  • 1969: CRA Champion in Graham, TX.
  • 1960: Texas Cowboy Reunion, Champion Calf Roper in Stamford, TX.
  • 1959-1974: Team Tying throughout the state of Texas.
  • 1955-1956: NIRA Southern Champion in Calf Roping and Ribbon Roping.
  • 1954: Won 5 Buckles at one college rodeo in Fort Worth, TX.
  • 1951: Participated in the State and National High School Finals.
  • 1948-1956: Participated in Rodeos in the following events: Bareback Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding, Bull Riding, Bull Dogging, Cow Milking, Double Mugging, Ribbon Roping, and Calf Roping.
