Genevieve Hauff Weyer

Genevieve was born August 15, 1937 in Mercedes, Texas. Weyer had been dedicated to the Texas Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame as executive secretary since December 2000, handling newsletters, promotion, circulation and participation. The responsibilities of the association’s secretary touch many lives.

Dedication is the name of the game. It is a fulltime job, and the reward is to see positive interest grow as the reputation spreads. An avid rodeo promoter, she has been involved in rodeo since 1960. As executive secretary-treasurer of the Southwestern Rodeo Association from 1967 through 1973, she instigated may diverse operations of promotions and saw the growth of that active rodeo organization triple in size and thrive. This honor is particularly satisfying as she joins her husband Marvin in the TRCHF. He was inducted in 2001. The Weyers make their home in League City, Texas.
