Spicer Gripp was a Hereford, Texascowboy&rancherwho was loved and admired by many. Spicer had a passion for rodeo and helping kids.Friends of Spicercametogether to start the memorial roping in 1994 and the Spicer Gripp Memorial EventCenter made its debut in 2001.The Spicer Gripp Memorial Youth Foundation(SGMYF)is honored to continue inSpicer’sbootsteps.Proceeds from the annual Spicer Gripp MemorialEventhavebeenutilizedto fund the Spicer Gripp Memorial Scholarshipat West Texas A&MUniversity.As of this year(2022)the SGMYFoundation has donated more than$1.2 million dollarsandpresentedover 500scholarshipsto WTAMU.This is anamazing accomplishment,asthe foundationis a 100% volunteer organization.
