Tony Reina

Tony Reina lives in Wharton, Texas on the family ranch where they raise F-1 Replacement Heifers and he manages the families oil and gas maintenance business.  He’s been married to Kelly for 30 years and they have two daughters, Bailey Currie (husband Logan and son Rankin) and Rylee Reina (fiancé Logan Moore). He attended school at Southwest Texas Junior College, McNeese State University, and Sam Houston State University. His rodeo accomplishments are:

 

  • 1993 NIRA Southern Region Calf Roping Champion
  • 1993-1994 College National Finals qualifier in Calf Roping and Team roping
  • 1993 & 1996 CPRA finals champion Calf Roper
  • 1996 North American Rodeo Commission World Champion Calf Roper
  • 16 Times PRCA Texas Circuit Qualifier in Calf Roping and Steer Roping
  • 1996 Reserve Champion Calf Roper PRCA Texas Circuit Finals
  • 1999 Reserve Champion Calf Roper at Denver, San Antonio, Lubbock
  • 1999 National Finals Rodeo qualifier in Calf Roping splitting the go round 5 win
  • 5 times National Finals Steer Roping Qualifier (2013-2014) (2017-2019)
  • 2012 PRCA Champion Steer roper at the Texas Circuit finals Rodeo
  • 2013 National Finals Steer Roping Champion with 142.2 on 10 head to win the Average at his first NFSR
  • 2014 Reserve Champion Steer Roping Horse of the Year (Zans Par Dude)
  • 2017 Champion Steer Roper at M.M. Fisher Memorial Steer Roping and Fallon County Rodeo
  • 2018 & 2019 Champion of the Ron Ross Memorial Steer Roping
  • 2018 Champion at Guymon Pioneer Days Steer Roping
  • 2021 Champion steer roper at Waller County Fair, Levelland, Texas, and the Buffalo Stampede
  • 2023 PRCA Legacy Steer Roping Finals Champion and World Champion Mulvane, Kansas
  • PRCA Texas Circuit Board of Directors 2014-2021 and serves as the Texas Circuit President 2022-present

 

Tony’s most important things in life are his faith, family, and ranching.  He enjoys spending time with his family while giving back to rodeo through his services to the PRCA Texas Circuit.
