Ronda May has been a dedicated member of the Texas Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame Board for over a decade and currently serves on the Executive Board as Treasurer. Her unwavering commitment to preserving the legacy of rodeo and honoring its legends has made her an integral part of the organization. Ronda has been instrumental in organizing and running the TRCHOF’s annual golf tournament, ensuring its success year after year.
Her dedication goes beyond board meetings and events—she is the heart and soul of the Hall of Fame. When Leonard Fluitt was unable to travel due to illness, Ronda personally delivered his induction buckle, gathering some of his most beloved rodeo friends to ensure he was celebrated the way he deserved. Moments like these define her passion for honoring rodeo’s greats.
Ronda’s deep connection to Texas ranching and rodeo was shaped by her upbringing, being raised on the land originally purchased sight unseen in 1888 by her great-grandfather. That land became the foundation of her love for the cowboy way of life, rodeo, and Texas heritage. To this day, both of her brothers still live on the place, keeping the legacy alive.
In addition to her work with TRCHOF, Ronda was also involved with the Miss Rodeo Texas Pageant for several years, playing a key role in supporting and promoting the young women who represent the sport of rodeo and the Western way of life.
With an unbreakable spirit and a true passion for preserving rodeo history, Ronda continues to dedicate her time, energy, and heart to the Texas Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame, ensuring that its history, traditions, and inductees are honored for generations to come.
