Martha was born and raised in Cameron, Texas and competed on her high school Rodeo Team in Barrell Racing and Ribbon Roping winning and placing numerous times in both events. She attended SHSU on a Rodeo Scholarship and competed in Barrell Racing, Breakaway and was Reserve World Champion on 1976 missing out winning the world by 1/100th of a second. Martha competed in the PWRA from 1977-2010 competing in the Breakaway Roping, Tie Down Roping, Team Roping and Steer Undecorating. She was Reserve World Champion Heeler in 1999. Matha has competed for 33 years and won or placed in all of her events. Martha lives in Huntsville, Texas with her family where she continues to train horses and ride and compete along with her family.
