Leon Coffee is “One of a Kind”, “The Boogie Man”, has a list of accomplishments that continues to grow. A U.S. Army veteran, rodeo clown, bull fighter, and “Man in the Can”.
Leon is a lifetime Gold Card Holder of the PRCA. He has been featured on TV, been a rodeo commentator, appeared in documentaries, color commentaries, commercials and even in a movie (Jericho, 2001).
He has been featured in print and on the covers of many leading newspapers and magazines. Coffee has worked the NFR in four different decades, two different centuries, and two different millenniums with his familiar green hat and happy face. His mule act with Matilda, also an inductee into the Texas Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame has captured the attention of thousands.
Even with all his traveling, Leon Coffee still makes time to visit the children’s wards in hospitals as he works the rodeos across the country. Blanco, Texas is proud to claim Leon Coffee as one of their own.
