Bryan Fields is from Alvin, TX. He was introduced to rodeo by his parents Leighton & Linda Fields. His involvement extended to competitions in YRA, TYRA, and THSRA, with a primary emphasis on steer riding, bull riding, and steer wrestling. During his college years at McNeese State University, he received the title of Champion Steer Wrestler for the Southern Region and secured a notable 3rd place finish at the College National Finals. In 1993, Bryan officially became a PRCA member.
He met his wife, Cindi in 1997 and they married in 1998. In 1998, Bryan qualified for his 1st NFR. In 2000, he qualified for his 2nd NFR and he and Cindi welcomed their first child, a son named Wyatt Cooper Fields. In 2001, Bryan etched his name into the NFR Steer Wrestling Arena Record with tying an impressive 3.0-second time during Round 6, a record standing since 1986. He went on to finish 2nd in the World Standings and qualified for the Winter Olympics in 2002 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Following his return, Bryan and Cindi celebrated the arrival of their second child, a daughter named Denim Dakota Fields. Bryan continued his NFR journey in 2002 and 2003. Over the years, his remarkable rodeo victories included winning the 2003 Texas Circuit , San Antonio, San Angelo, Calgary Stampede, Prescott Arizona, Colorado Springs, San Francisco, and Kansas City.
Bryan contributes all of his successes to being fortunate enough to ride great horses. One of them being his own; Ima Star Olena “Jackpot”. Jackpot earned the respected title of 2003 AQHA Steer Wrestling Horse of the Year. Today Jackpot is still enjoying his retirement at the wonderful age of 34.
