Arnold Felts

Gold Card

Arnold was born in Paducah Texas in 1947. He currently lives in Dublin, Texas and enjoys his other passions, Real Estate, and horses. He is still competing in team roping under the handicap system.

His daughter, Laurie lives in Ft. Worth area, and he has 5 grandkids and a couple great grandkids.

He joined the PRCA in the spring of 1973 and qualified for his 1s National Finals in team roping.

He went on to compete at the National Finals 4 times in the team roping and approximately 20 times in National Finals Steer Roping. He won the finals in 1982, 1992, 1994 & 1995. In 1993, he set a record for most consecutive go round wins at the National Finals with 6. That still stands. He was the 1981 World Champion Steer Roper and many times runner up for that title. His great horse, Santa Claus was AQHA horse of the year in 1993. He won most of the major rodeos and invitational ropings, in either the tiedown, team roping, or steer roping. He was the 1st to win back to back All Around titles at Cheyenne in 1986-1987. He was top money winner at the Texas Circuit Finals in tiedown roping over 45 years old on 3 different occasions.

His favorite rodeos and some fun accomplishments would be Cheyenne. He won the All Around 3 times and the steer roping twice. Pecos Texas, he won the All Around, tiedown, and steer roping the same year on 2 occasions.

His greatest memories and honors would be the great experiences, the fabulous friendships, and the honors awarded to him. He was an inaugural inductee in the Texas Rodeo Hall of Fame in Pecos, Texas in 2005, and in the Windy Ryon Roping Hall of Fame in 2024. Inducted in Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame in 2016 and now this one.

MANY THANKS TO ANY AND ALL THAT HAD A PART IN MAKING THIS HAPPEN!
