Neal Felton

Men Contestant

Born and raised in New Mexico, Neal was a New Mexico Jr. Rodeo Champion many times.  He was the state High School Champion Calf Roper twice and the 1979 National High School Champion Roper. Neal moved to Stephenville, Texas in 1981 to attend Tarleton State University. In 1991 he married Vanette Ivy and made his home in Real County to ranch and train horses and has resided in Texas ever since.

 

Neal was College National Finalist (CR, SW, TR) twice and an NFR calf roping qualifier in 1986 and 1988. He is a professional trainer of performance horses for rodeo competition and he still competes at multiple Texas Senior Pro Rodeos every year. His son, Dakota Felton is currently pursuing his own pro-rodeo career.
