Chuck started calf roping and team roping at an early age in local rodeo associations, including the Texas Youth Rodeo Association, where he won the team roping championship (1972). He went to the Texas Circuit Finals 17 times, Dodge National Circuit Finals five times, All-American Finals, and CPRA Finals five times. Chuck was CPRA Team Roping Average winner (2005) and Texas Youth Rodeo Association Team Champion (1972). A PRCA Gold Card member since 1979, Chuck still competes in rodeos on the Texas Circuit. He has been Texas Circuit Team Roping Director for 25+ years, PRCA Texas Team Roping Representative for 20+ years, and serves on the PRCA Team Roping Advisory Board. He has dedicated his life to rodeo and improving the lives of its people. Chuck resides in Victoria, Texas.
