Charlie began working as a pick-up man at amateur rodeos at the ripe old age of sixteen. Since then, he has worked as a pick-up man for fifty years and is still doing the job well.
He has been a pick-up man at rodeos across the country, including ten years in Albuquerque, Austin, Denver, Houston, San Angelo and San Antonio. He has also worked the PRCA Texas Circuit Finals, the Cowboys Professional Rodeo Association Finals and numerous other finals across the nation.
Charlie is an accomplished horseman and cowboy. He is a proud member of the Cowboys Professional Rodeo Association and a Gold Card life member of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. Charlie lives in San Angelo.
