Casey’s Rodeo Career began with a Calf Riding Win in Earth Texas at 7 years old. In High School, he qualified for the NTHSRA Finals in Calf Roping, Bareback Riding and Bull Riding, winning the Average in Bareback Riding. He qualified for the TSHSRA and AJRA Finals in Bareback Riding and Bull Riding.
In 1984 Casey received the PRCA Texas Circuit Rookie of the Year for ALL Around and Bull Riding as well as Runner Up PRCA Bull Riding Rookie of the Year. He qualified for the PRCA Texas Circuit Finals and finished in the top 20 of the PRCA Bull Riding Standings. The same Year Casey rode two time Bucking Bull of the Year “Savage 7” to win the San Antonio PRCA Rodeo.
Casey also had the Distinction of winning (at the time) the Richest one Head PRCA regular Season Rodeo in Las Vegas by Riding the top Bucking Bull of the NFR, Cervi’s A14 Sunni’s Velvet, a Record that would hold for 13 Years.
He was a consistent money Winner at many of the PRCA’s top 25 Rodeos including Cheyenne, San Antonio, Houston, Kansas City, Phoenix, Las Vegas and Albuquerque.
In later Years Casey once again picked up his Lariat Ropes and began training Calf Roping Horses, several of which carried a number of top Competitors to the Pay Window. Casey qualified for the New Mexico Rodeo Association Finals in Calf Roping three times, winning two Go Rounds and the Average in 2005.
