Clarence Lolan “Bubba” Goudeau, born on February 10, 1943, in Houston to Harry Young Goudeau and Naomi Jane Watts Goudeau Lewis, is a notable figure in the Texas rodeo scene. Raised in Alvin, he graduated from Alvin High School in 1961. On September 24, 1983, he married Beverly Jean, marking the beginning of a lifelong partnership.
Bubba embarked on a 21-year career in bull riding at a young age, later transitioning to work for the Steiner Rodeo Company. His presence was well-known across Texas rodeos throughout the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Following his rodeo career, Bubba dedicated many years to working on ranches, culminating in his retirement in 2013 from the La Paloma Ranch in Charlotte, Texas. In his later years, he was actively involved with Goudeau Farms’ hay business, finding joy in working in the hay fields.
